Should doomsday weapons be given personas?
In other words, should weapons capable of oblivion be given the ability to think and act for themselves. Would this allow us to live in peace, or would it hand over our freedoms on a silver platter to the "machines"?

Yeah I guess so, the programmers would effectively become the persona's parents. Such that they could control it cause it to do other silly things. However if they did their job properly creating a complete artificial sentiant intelligence. With its own sense of ethics and morals it should be its own person, able to make its own decision.
However as Iain quotes from Darkstar,this doesn't always go according to plan...
